On April 25th, 2010, Peace by Peace hosted the first New Haven Health and Activism Fair on the New Haven Green. Peace by Peace members provides free health services to New Haven citizens, distributed food and clothing directly to local homeless individuals, hosted Mayor DeStefano and local religious leaders, who addressed the audience with speeches discussing health and peace, and painted a billboard to commemorate the notion that "We Refuse to Be Enemies." The Billboard was placed on I-95N, between exits 41-42 for six months and its painting raised $6000 for The Combatants for Peace, an organization of former Israeli and Palestinian soldiers who have thrown down their arms in the realization that neither violence nor vengeance are the answer...
